Cloud Engineer

ROLES & RESPONSIBILIES:

Collaborate with the Head of Infrastructure to manage and mentor the infrastructure team.

Ensure alignment with organizational objectives and service standards.

Oversee comprehensive management of IT infrastructure and security services which includes platforms, servers, cloud, virtualization, storage, backup, and networking components.

Contribute to the ongoing optimization of infrastructure services.

Participate in capacity planning and implement agile growth and scaling models.

Maintain up-to-date security models for all services.

Ensure compliance with relevant regulations, standards, and organizational policies.

Develop and implement infrastructure-related processes (backup, configuration whitelisting, patch management, threat management).

Assist in resource planning activities and support departments in the rollout, expansion, or upgrade of infrastructure components.

Ensure compliance with organizational and IT policies, procedures, and guidelines.

Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance service delivery and efficiency.

Collaborate with team members and stakeholders

SKILLS & COMP ENCIES:

5-7 years of experience in IT infrastructure management with a focus on cloud technologies (Azure, AWS, GCP).

Strong understanding of cloud concepts, architecture, and best practices.

Proficiency in systems engineering, cluster computing.

Experience with cloud networking concepts like peering, S2S VPN, Subnetting, ExpressRoute, routing and switching.

. Experience with configuration management tools (Ansible, Puppet, Chef), automation, and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).

Knowledge of security solutions (firewalls, WAFs, cloud proxy solutions) and experience implementing security measures.

. Familiarity with scripting languages (Powershell, Bash, Perl)

Experience with deployment and managing cloud managed database services like Azure database for MySQL, PostgreSQL, Mongo DB, Cassandra..etc.

Good knowledge of Linux OS administration.

Excellent communication, interpersonal, and collaboration skills.

. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

Adaptability to changing priorities and a dynamic work environment

EXPERIENCE:

Azure Administrator Associate

Azure Solutions Architect Expert

Microsoft MCSE or equivalent

Cisco CCNP

Ad-hoc certification in firewalls/Proxy/WAF
