We are looking for an Data Analyst!

Mission: We are seeking a skilled Data Analyst to address strategic challenges related to data efficiency, data scoping, and data technology evolution. This role is critical in optimizing our data workflows, enhancing our data cataloging processes, and ensuring the evolution of our IT Datahub in alignment with our reference architecture.

Responsibilities:

• Data Efficiency: Minimize manual data entry workflows in IT Datahub; Identify and eliminate unused models and dashboards; Optimize cloud consumption (Cloud FinOps); Implement data purging policies to optimize resources and reuse data models/structures.
• Data Scoping & Governance: Enrich IT Datahub by cataloging data in MS Purview, addressing both organic and geographic gaps; Maintain a permanent interface with Data pivots across various geographies; Support the Chief Data & AI Officer in establishing and maintaining data governance frameworks to ensure data quality, compliance, and security.
• Data Tech Evolution: Ensure the evolution of IT Datahub according to the reference architecture; Develop a self-service oriented offering (Data Mesh architecture) and streaming capabilities; Manage the transition from the Corporate Datalake to IT Datahub, supporting platforms/regions with IT-managed asset data; Lead the Delivery Solution Architect project with Databricks to optimize processes.
• Compiling information/preparing reports to support decision-making.
• Creating User Stories for the Data Warehouse.
• Data modeling in the Data Warehouse.
• Collection of adhoc data from commercial and/or analytical systems.

Required skills:

• Up to 10 years' experience in the role for which we are contracting the service;
• Knowledge of SQL language, Office tools and in particular Excel at an advanced level;
• Analytical and communication skills, interpersonal relationships, creativity, initiative and proactivity are the skills we favor.
• Proven experience in data management, data architecture, and cloud optimization;
• Strong knowledge of data cataloging tools, specifically MS Purview.
• Experience with Data Mesh architecture and streaming technologies.
• Proficiency in MS Fabric and Databricks, and cloud platforms.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to interface with stakeholders across various geographies.
• Experience in Cloud FinOps. (Plus)
• Familiarity with data purging policies and practices. (Plus)
• Knowledge of the energy sector and its data management needs. (Plus)
