We are looking for a HR Generalist (German-speaking, maternity cover of at least 1 year) to join us on this journey in Vienna.  

 

The Role

The main responsibility of the HR Generalist is to support operating tasks in people management, including setting up employment contracts, managing employee files and information, coordination employee trainings and offering standardized employee benefits for our international team.


As a HR Generalist at Platomics you will support our team: 

  • Personnel Administration - from employment contracts and visa support to onboarding to offboarding for local and remote employees 
  • Facilitate Employee Relations - including fostering People Manager discussions regarding seniority, resolving conflict resolution, and career development 
  • Develop and implement HR policies, procedures, and initiatives in alignment 
  • Creation, management and maintenance of all HR-documents in our QM-system, as well as time keeping in BMD 
  • Point of contact for employees and management on HR or labor-related questions 
  • Support internal communication & Team-Events 
  • Administration and organization of trainings 
  • Close cooperation with our HR Team including fellow Head of HR, HR Generalist, HR Assistant and Talent Acquisition Manager 


This is a flexible position open to both part and full-time. It is initially a maternity cover of at least 1 year, although there is opportunity for this to become a permanent role as our team continues to scale. It is a hybrid role based in our headquarters in Vienna with both in-office and home office hours available.  


What you bring to the table 

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in human resource management or related field  
  • At least 2 years of experience in a similar position 
  • Good knowledge of Austrian labor law and HR best practices 
  • Excellent English and German language skills, spoken and written 
  • Self-organizing with the ability to set and meet deadlines independently 
  • Flexible and adaptable to adjust to changing business needs and priorities, ideally with experience in a scale-up environment 


Nice to have 

  • Experience with BMD  
  • Knowledge of remote hiring and visa processes 
  • Experience supporting a multinational team in office as well as in remote environments
