PHP Developer

This role is for one of the Weekday's clients

Key Responsibilities

Application Development
Write clean, efficient, and well-documented PHP code for web applications and backend systems.
Develop dynamic, responsive, and secure web applications using frameworks like Laravel, CodeIgniter, or Symfony.
Integrate front-end components with server-side logic for seamless user experiences.
Database Management
Design and manage databases, ensuring optimal performance and scalability.
Work with MySQL or other relational databases to create, update, and maintain database structures.
Implement data storage solutions to support application functionality.
API Development and Integration
Develop RESTful APIs to enable communication between systems and third-party platforms.
Integrate third-party services, APIs, and payment gateways into applications as needed.
Troubleshooting and Debugging
Identify and resolve performance bottlenecks, bugs, and application errors.
Test and debug code to ensure it meets quality standards and functions as intended.
Work closely with the QA team to ensure high-quality software delivery.
Collaboration and Communication
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including designers, project managers, and front-end developers, to deliver projects.
Participate in code reviews and contribute to team discussions to improve code quality and processes.
Continuous Learning and Improvement
Stay updated with the latest PHP trends, tools, and best practices.
Implement industry-standard coding practices to improve code maintainability and scalability.

Skills And Qualifications

Technical Skills

Proficiency in PHP and its frameworks, such as Laravel, CodeIgniter, or Symfony.
Solid understanding of front-end technologies like HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and Bootstrap.
Experience with databases like MySQL and the ability to write optimized queries.
Familiarity with version control systems like Git.
Knowledge of web development concepts, including MVC architecture, object-oriented programming, and secure coding practices.

Interpersonal Skills

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.
Attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality work.

Experience And Education

0–3 years of experience in PHP development or web application development.
A bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field is preferred but not mandatory.
Freshers with strong coding skills and a portfolio of projects are encouraged to apply.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience with front-end frameworks like React or Angular is a plus.
Understanding of cloud services and hosting platforms.
Familiarity with CMS platforms like WordPress, Joomla, or Drupal.
