To lead this pivotal agenda, we are seeking a dynamic and visionary Data Science and AI Lead to help this business to maintain its position as one of the leaders within it's industry.

This is a high-impact role, calling for a seasoned thought leader and executor capable of driving transformation at scale. You will shape the organisation’s AI strategy, build and lead a high-performing team, and execute initiatives that position the business as a leader in innovation and operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities

• Define and articulate the organisation’s AI-driven transformation agenda in alignment with broader strategic objectives.
• Build, develop, and inspire a cross-functional team of AI specialists, data scientists, and process improvement experts.
• Identify existing inefficiencies and redesign core business processes using AI and automation to enhance productivity, reduce costs, and improve outcomes.
• Drive end-to-end delivery of AI initiatives, ensuring alignment with timelines, budgets, and desired impact.
• Engage with senior executives, operational teams, and external partners to champion the transformation agenda and ensure widespread adoption.
• Stay at the forefront of AI advancements and trends, positioning the organisation as a pioneer in the financial services sector.

What the client is looking for:

• Proven experience as a transformational leader, with a strong track record in AI, working with the latest technologies and having experience of helping a business build successful use cases and processes through AI and emerging technologies.
• Deep knowledge of AI technologies and their practical application in complex business environments, preferably in financial services.
• Hands-on approach. Must have led in the field as a hands-on leader who can guide technical teams.
• Outstanding leadership and team-building capabilities, with experience assembling and managing high-performing teams.
• Strong communication and ability to convey a clear direction in which the team should be aiming towards.

Technologies:

• Microsoft-based business.
• Azure strongly desired, understanding how to navigate across cloud platforms is a must.
• Strong SQL and Python
• Modern technologies such as Databricks or Snowflake.
