About the opportunity:

We’re looking for a SAP Engineer to work in a leading Italian retail chain specialized in consumer electronics and household appliances, offering a wide range of products from smartphones to kitchen equipment. Known for its competitive pricing and extensive store network, it has become a go-to destination for tech enthusiasts and families alike.

This is a 100% remote position.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and Enhance SAP Solutions: Design and implement robust ABAP programs, enhancements, and extensions, utilizing frameworks like CDS, AMDP, and HANA Views to meet business requirements.
• Optimize and Debug Code: Perform in-depth debugging, analyze performance bottlenecks, and optimize ABAP code for efficiency and scalability.
• Create and Maintain User Interfaces: Develop intuitive and responsive user interfaces using SAP Fiori/UI5, OData services, and the SAP Gateway.
• Integrate SAP Systems: Ensure seamless integration with external systems through interfaces like ALE/IDOCs, REST, and SOAP web services.
• Collaborate on SAP BTP Projects: Leverage SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP) services for developing innovative cloud-based solutions, including CAP and Kyma integrations.
  
  

Required Qualifications:

Strong ABAP Expertise: Proficient in core ABAP programming, including modularization techniques (RFC, BAPI, BADI, User Exits).

Object-Oriented ABAP: Hands-on experience with ABAP Objects and design patterns.

SAP Modules Knowledge: Familiarity with key modules (e.g., SD, MM, FI/CO) and their processes.

Enhancements and Extensions: Experience in enhancing SAP standard functionalities using modern frameworks (e.g., CDS, AMDP, HANA Views).

UI Development: Knowledge of SAP Fiori/UI5, OData services, and Gateway.

Debugging and Optimization: Strong debugging skills and ability to optimize code for performance.

Integration: Understanding of interfaces, ALE/IDOCs, REST/SOAP web services.

HANA Database: Knowledge of database architecture, SQL scripting, and HANA-specific optimizations.

SAP BTP Development: Experience with Business Technology Platform (BTP) services, such as CAP, Kyma, or integration with ABAP Environment.
