Principal Front-End Software Developer

What to expect

We're looking for a Principal Front-End Developer to join our team and help drive the evolution of our cloud-based platform's user interface. The Rebus Platform offers exceptional experiences for distribution teams through real-time, intelligent visibility into warehouse operations.

• Hybrid in Montreal with one day in office per week - not a remote job opportunity.
• We are looking for a developer with Principal experience leading architecture & UI.
• Heavy Angular framework experience.

Once you join our team, you will:

• Provide deep expertise in front-end technologies, frameworks, and tools (e.g., Angular, TypeScript, JavaScript, CSS, HTML) while maintaining broad familiarity with back-end technologies for effective integration.
• Lead the development of front-end architecture and user interface standards for the Rebus platform.
• Create robust, accessible, and performant technical UI designs that align with business goals and provide an excellent user experience.
• Collaborate with UX/UI designers, product managers, and back-end developers to ensure cohesive and intuitive front-end solutions.
• Act as the primary technical mentor for the front-end development team, fostering continuous learning and growth.
• Stay abreast of emerging trends in front-end development, ensuring the Rebus platform remains modern and competitive.
• Perform code reviews, ensuring adherence to best practices, high-quality code, and low defect rates.
• Engage with stakeholders to understand requirements and translate them into front-end technical solutions.

Skills & Experience

• Extensive experience in front-end development, with mastery of the modern Angular framework.
• Expertise in building responsive, accessible, and user-friendly interfaces with HTML, CSS, and JavaScript/TypeScript.
• Deep understanding of front-end performance optimization and best practices.
• Strong ability to lead technical discussions and influence decision-making across teams and stakeholders.
• Experience collaborating with designers and back-end teams to deliver cohesive solutions.
• Advanced communication skills to present complex technical concepts effectively to technical and non-technical audiences.
• Proven leadership and mentoring abilities to guide and grow the front-end development team.
• Hybrid in Montreal with one day in office per week.
