Functional Analyst (FinTech) - Freelance

For a customer in Brussels in the Financial Services Sector (FinTech), I am searching for a freelance Functional Analyst to with their transitioning into scale-up operations.

You will be responsible for getting an insight and evaluation of the business needs and translating these needs into user stories, process flows, and data models for their mobile developers to help optimize the current application.

Alongside this, you'll be liaising with the C-Level executives to ensure their ambitious progression plans are implemented iteratively.

Responsibilities:

• You will have complete responsibility for gaining a thorough understanding of the business requirements and transforming them into user stories, process flows, and data models for our mobile developers working on iOS and Android platforms. Your role will be crucial throughout the entire process, starting from initial analysis to conducting post-implementation checks.
• In this capacity, you will collaborate with the Product Owner, Mobile Architect, and other business stakeholders to establish acceptance criteria. You will examine the relationships between functional and non-functional requirements.
• Together with the architects, you will estimate project timelines and assess the impact of various stories on our IT infrastructure. You will provide support to internal and external stakeholders during the testing phase. Additionally, you will analyse reported issues, identifying bugs, problems, and change requests.
• You will be encouraged to proactively seek opportunities to enhance our working methods and foster collaboration."

Qualifications:

• 3+ years' experience as a Functional Analyst, ideally within a financial/payments context
• English Speaking
