Security Operations Specialist – 6+ months – Eindhoven – 2 Days On-Site – Dutch

Are you a skilled professional with expertise in IT security? We are seeking an Security Operations Specialist to support our client's IT Backoffice team. You’ll play a critical role in identifying and resolving security issues, monitoring threats, and implementing robust security measures. Your work will include direct collaboration with stakeholders, proactive policy advisement, and hands-on contributions to organizational security maturity.

Responsibilities include:

• Identifying, analysing, and resolving security issues in technical environments.
• Performing patches and updates to ensure continuous improvement.
• Actively monitoring and evaluating security notifications from tools like Fox-IT and internal HIAB solutions.
• Contributing to the development and implementation of security policies.
• Supporting DPIAs and enhancing security monitoring efforts.
• Raising awareness among users regarding IT security practices.

Preferred Skills and Experience:

• HBO-level education in IT (or equivalent) with several years of security experience.
• Proactive mindset with a continuous focus on security.
• Ability to balance security measures with operational continuity.
• Independence and initiative in tackling tasks.
• Ethical hacking experience (preferred).
• Familiarity with tools like Splunk, Velociraptor, Microsoft Sentinel, and HIAB solutions.
