Lead Full Stack Developer

We are looking for a highly skilled Full Stack Developer to lead our team of developers. The ideal candidate will have experience in both front-end and back-end development, with a strong focus on creating seamless user experiences and robust, scalable applications.

This role has strong possibilities of career progression into CTO.

• Front-End Development
• Support our team of internal and external development resources
• Act as point of contact for internal teams
• Develop responsive web interfaces using React and Astro
• Create reusable components and libraries for future use
• Ensure high-quality user experience through optimized performance and responsive design
• Collaborate with UI/UX designers to implement clean, elegant interfaces
• Develop and maintain user interfaces, such as UIs and UI components using HTML, CSS, JavaScript, React, Astro, and other front-end JavaScript libraries
• Design and implementation of low-latency, high-availability, and performant applications
• Back-End Development
• Build and support server-side applications using Node.js
• Design and integrate with databases (SQL/NoSQL) to manage application data efficiently.
• Collaborate with team members to develop and deliver web applications and services using Agile and Scrum methodologies within 2-week sprint cycles.
• Identify and fix defects using tools and creativity to ensure high-quality deliverables.
• Contribute to team and organizational improvements in processes and infrastructure
•  API Development:

o   Design, build, and document RESTful APIs to be consumed by front-end applications or third-party systems.

o   Ensure API security, performance, and scalability.

o   Work with API authentication and authorization mechanisms (OAuth, JWT, etc.).

• Testing & Optimization:

o   Write unit, integration, and end-to-end tests for both client-side and server-side applications.

o   Debug, troubleshoot, and optimize performance for both front-end and back-end.

o   Work collaboratively with DevOps, Product, and Design teams to deliver high-quality products.

o   Participate in code reviews, provide feedback, and maintain coding standards and best practices.

o   Ensure application scalability, performance, and maintainability.

o   Maintain thorough documentation for both front-end and back-end solutions.

·        An ability to lead and support a development team

·        Proficiency in Node.js for back-end development

·        Experience with front-end development

·        Familiarity with Astro for building performant, modern websites an advantage

·        Familiarity with Stapi CMS an advantage

·        Experience in building RESTful APIs and integrating them with front-end applications.

·        Understanding of database management (SQL/NoSQL).

·        Knowledge of version control (Git).

·        Familiarity with cloud platforms AWS and CI/CD pipelines

·        Familiarity with front-end optimization techniques and web performance best practices

·        Strong understanding of JavaScript, HTML5, CSS3, and modern JavaScript libraries

·        Experience with testing frameworks

·        Previous experience identifying or fixing WCAG accessibility bugs is a plus

·        Strong proficiency in JavaScript, HTML, CSS, and React

·        Familiarity with Agile and Scrum methodologies

·        Strong communication skills in English

·       Education & Certification

·        Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience)

·        Relevant certifications in JavaScript frameworks, cloud computing, or full-stack development are a plus

·        All applicants must be currently eligible to work in Ireland without any restrictions. Must also be based in Ireland.
