Data Scientist

About the role:
This role is integral to driving data-driven decisions and enhancing their product offerings. You will collaborate closely with various business and Product teams to build, deploy, and refine predictive models, ensuring they align with business objectives and deliver exceptional value to customers.

• Develop, implement, and maintain predictive models to solve complex business challenges.
• Analyse large, diverse datasets to extract actionable insights and trends.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product managers and engineers, to understand requirements and integrate data science solutions into products.
• Optimize and validate models for performance, scalability, and accuracy.
• Communicate findings and recommendations to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in data science, machine learning, and Insurtech trends.

About you:
Must-Have:

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience in data science or a related field.
• Proven experience building and deploying machine learning models.
• Proficiency in programming languages such as Python or R.
• Strong understanding of machine learning algorithms, statistical methods, and data visualization tools.
• Experience working with product teams to translate business needs into technical solutions.

Preferred:

• Experience in the Insurtech or fintech industry.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and big data tools (Spark, Hadoop).
• Knowledge of A/B testing and experimentation methods.
• Strong communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
