Junior Data Scientist

Position Summary:

A motivated and developing Python Data Scientist is sought to join the team. The ideal candidate should possess at least one year of relevant experience and a basic understanding of quantitative finance, particularly in the areas of FX or cryptocurrency trading. A foundational background in Python programming, linear models, and data mining is important for this role.

Key Responsibilities:

Close collaboration with quantitative researchers will be required to develop, fine-tune, and optimize trading models, ensuring optimal performance.

Expertise in quantitative finance will be leveraged to analyze complex datasets and extract actionable insights that influence trading strategies.

Robust data analysis tools and algorithms will be implemented and maintained using Python.

Extensive data mining will be conducted to uncover new trading opportunities and trends in the FX and cryptocurrency markets.

Linear and non-linear modeling techniques will be developed and tested to enhance predictive accuracy and overall model performance.

Detailed analytical reports will be prepared, and findings will be communicated to stakeholders to facilitate data-driven decision-making.

Requirements:

A proven track record as a Data Scientist with strong Python programming skills is required.

Advanced knowledge of quantitative finance, with a focus on FX or cryptocurrency trading, is essential.

Proficiency in linear models and their application in financial modeling is necessary.

Demonstrated experience in data mining and managing large, complex datasets is required.

Effective collaboration with quantitative researchers and other team members is expected.

Strong analytical abilities and attention to detail are critical.

Excellent communication and presentation skills are necessary.

Willingness to relocate to Dubai, UAE, following an initial remote period, is required.

Preferred Qualifications:

An advanced degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, or a related discipline is preferred.

Experience with additional programming languages or analytical tools is considered a plus.
