Senior Information Technology Project Manager

The Senior IT Project Manager will work within the Technology Department, overseeing the management of multiple technology projects. This role will be responsible for project planning, defining project scope, managing timelines, risks, and quality, as well as ensuring financial control. The Project Manager will also coordinate architectural and IT governance approvals and implement effective change management processes.

Key Responsibilities -

• Develop and maintain comprehensive project plans, including schedules, milestones, and change management strategies to ensure project success.
• Collaborate with relevant stakeholders to define clear project scope, objectives, and deliverables that align with business needs.
• Ensure that projects are executed within agreed quality standards, timelines, and budgets, adhering to both internal and client expectations.
• Design, implement, and manage testing and transition plans to ensure smooth project deployment and operational handover.
• Actively track, manage, and report on project risks, issues, and performance metrics, providing updates on progress toward both short-term goals and long-term benefits.
• Apply appropriate verification techniques to manage any changes to project scope, schedule, and budget, ensuring minimal disruption.
• Oversee relationships with vendors, integration partners, and internal IT teams (including DPWA IT), ensuring alignment with project goals and deliverables.
• Work within the framework of PMO governance, ensuring compliance with organizational project management standards and best practices.

Qualifications, Skills and Experience-

• Project Management Professional (PMP) or Prince2 certification
• 5-10 years’ experience in performing Program/Project Management role
• Demonstrated experience delivering IT Technology Infrastructure projects, including data centre moves, network and system infrastructure builds including systems integration to control systems, etc.
• Ideally have worked on large-scale Technology projects managing multiple vendors
• Experience in continuous improvement and quality control will be highly regarded
• Previous experience in a transport, logistics, aviation or maritime related environment would be an advantage
• Highly effective written and oral communication skills, including a demonstrated ability to influence and negotiate to achieve the desired outcome effectively with both internal and external stakeholders at all levels
• Familiarity of IT Infrastructure technologies, Servers, AD and Network (cabling, Router, switching)
