NodeJS Developer

For one of our top clients from the financial sector, we are looking for an experienced UI Developer with React.js, JavaScript and TypeScript.

The position is hybrid, contract duration - 5 months (possibility of extension), B2B contract.

Position Overview

We are seeking a skilled Node.js Developer to join the team building a firm-wide Risk platform. This strategic platform serves as a cornerstone for market technology, supporting market risk managers and financial controllers with scalable, cloud-based solutions. The role involves working on computationally intensive financial projects within a dynamic and challenging environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain Rest APIs using Node.js.
• Optimize existing API endpoints to enhance performance and implement effective monitoring.
• Collaborate closely with project managers to ensure high standards of governance and transparency.
• Work within a leading banking environment to develop modern risk system software.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• 4+ years of experience developing robust Rest APIs with Node.js (version 15 or above).
• Hands-on experience with MongoDB.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Academic background: Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in a relevant field.

Preferred Skills (Nice to Have)

• Knowledge of derivatives and/or market risk in any asset class.
• Familiarity with streaming concepts and message brokers such as Kafka.
• Hands-on experience with Java 11+.
