Business Intelligence Analyst

BI Analyst x2 (6 month contract & 1 permanent)

Location: Sydney (Hybrid)

About the Role:

We have teamed up with a leading retailer who have 2x opportunities to hire both a contract and permanent employee. The duration of the contract role is 6 months with long term options to extend.

This is an exciting opportunity to join a highly visible team at a leading retailer, working on critical projects that shape the future of retail.

As a BI Analyst, you will leverage your technical and analytical expertise to support A/B testing, design experiments, and measure the impact of retail trials.

You’ll play a key role in delivering actionable insights and solutions that influence key business decisions, offering significant exposure and opportunities for growth within the organisation.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, execute, and analyse A/B tests using the business platform.
• Build and optimise scripts and applications using Python and SQL to support data analysis and decision-making.
• Develop user-friendly front-end tools to enable stakeholders to interact with data outputs.
• Collaborate with the team to measure and report the impact of retail trials, including pricing strategies, store layouts, and operational changes.

Essential Skills:

• Proficiency in both Python and SQL for data analysis and application development.
• Strong experience in A/B testing methodologies.
• Ability to design and develop interactive front-end solutions for data outputs.
• Commercial experience in consumer packaged goods (CPG) or retail industries.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Nice-to-Have Skills:

• Experience with Mastercard’s Applied Predictive Technologies platform.
• Familiarity with Databricks (Desirable but not essential).
• Background in the retail or CPG market.
• Exposure to store operations, pricing, and range testing.
