We are looking for the Head of HR for our company based in Germany, Colas Rail Deutschland.


Mission

The head of human resources is responsible for overseeing all aspects of an organization's human capital. This includes recruiting and hiring new talent, managing employee relations, implementing HR policies and procedures, handling performance reviews, and addressing workplace issues.


Main Responsibilities

  • Responsible for aligning the HR vision and goals with the overall company strategy and objectives;
  • Act as reliable business partner for managers and employees building trustful and sustainable relationships with internal and external stakeholders;
  • Take a lead role in transforming and strengthening the organizational culture, ensuring that the company values and approach are displayed;
  • Implement a recruitment and employer branding strategy according to local needs/market making sure to fulfill key vacancies and project staffing;
  • Supervise the implementation of the Group HRMS tool and train local team/management on using different modules (Recruitment, Performance Evaluation, Compensation, Talent Management, etc..);
  • Regularly coach, mentor and support senior and high potential colleagues to identify individual strengths and development needs;
  • Define a training budget and a process to collect and deliver training on technical, safety and managerial matters;
  • Design the talent pipeline and succession plan for the organization and implement initiatives to attract, retain, and develop the best talent;
  • Analyze trends in compensation and benefits to review the compensation strategy, taking the local benchmarks and business targets into consideration;
  • Build long term partnership and new initiatives with targeted technical schools/universities;
  • Supervise the day-to-day operations of the HR function, which may include payroll, recruitment, compensation and benefits, employee relations, compliance, etc…
  • Ensure that the company complies with current regulations, accepted professional standards, policies and procedures and legislation;
  • Lead the HR team members ensuring they have the resources, tools, and guidance they need to perform their tasks effectively and efficiently;
  • Collaborate with Group HR functions to ensure timely and accurate reports and information flows regarding main HR figures/KPI’s.


Qualifications/Experiences required

  • Approximately 7-8 years of experience as an HR Business Partner or HR Manager in a fast-paced environment, preferably in the construction industry;
  • Knowledge of a broad range of human resource strategies and practices such as performance management, compensation & benefits, payroll, succession planning, recruitment and employer branding, training;
  • Experience in international environment, preferably in a subsidiary company, used to work in a matrix organization;
  • Previous experience in HRMS implementation and ability to digitalize processes;
  • Experience or strong interest in embracing, fostering and driving cultural changes in structured organizations;
  • Structured and organized manager, result oriented with a pragmatic and hands-on approach;
  • Energetic, dynamic, self-starter, capable of taking the initiative and act with strong sense of ownership;
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal and ethical skills;
  • Flexible, reliable, resilient personality with a confident appearance also in hectic situations;
  • Excellent fluency in German and English, French would be an advantage.
