Security Operations Center Analyst

Our Client is a medium sized cyber security service provider.

They are looking for a SOC Analyst / MDR Analyst to join their office in the Netherlands.

Job Description

As a SOC Analyst you play a key role in monitoring, detecting, and promptly addressing potential security threats and incidents for our customers. You independently provide tailored advice to help customers resolve or mitigate incidents. Additionally, you contribute to enhancing our SOC services and processes.

• Detecting, analyzing, and responding to potential security threats.
• Offering actionable and user-friendly recommendations to customers during incidents.
• Creating use cases and playbooks to optimize monitoring efforts.
• Assisting in the seamless onboarding of new customers.
• Coaching and mentoring colleagues.
• Collaborating actively with other departments, such as our CERT.
• Contributing ideas to improve and expand our services.

Requirements

• SIEM tool experience
• General network (TCP/IP, DNS)
• General operating system
• Knowledge about cyberattack tactics
• Basic scripting
• Bonus: Experience from a SOAR tool or playbook creation in a SIEM tool o Experience from a file analysis sandbox
