Junior Engineer 1st Line

Your day to day:

• Provides 1st Line specific technical services related to live information systems of telecommunications operators (Vodafone OpCo or JVs)
• Ensures the development, implementation, modification, testing and harmonization of software and hardware solutions of computer systems and telecom applications existing in the networks of operators, in order to meet the quality and response time requirements of projects
• At the request of customers (Vodafone OpCos), it identifies, develops and implements solutions for resolving software and hardware deficiencies in the respective networks. The solutions provided involve changes to existing software systems or the deployment of new software components to improve and develop the functionality of current systems
• If the software or hardware deficiencies in the network are too complex, or the time limit defined for such troubleshooting, depending on the severity of the project, is in danger of being exceeded, send these projects for resolution to 2nd Line, the higher technical level

Performs activities that combine analytical skills with adequate knowledge of software and hardware technology, in order to develop, test, implement and modify computer systems containing telecommunications, mobile and fixed software applications.

• Development and adaptation of custom software

With these skills you are a great candidate:

• English written and spoken
• Other widely spoken European languages - written and spoken
• Operating systems, databases, computer applications specific to mobile and fixed telecommunications
• Technical knowledge in 2G / 3G / 4G / 5G, transmissions, Networking
  
  
  

Must have technical / professional qualifications:

• Completed higher education, preferably technical (e.g. Electronics and Telecommunications, Automation and Computers, Computer Science, etc.)
• Certifications from fixed and mobile telecommunications system vendors (Cisco, Oracle, HP, IBM, Ericsson,
• Huawei, Nokia, Alcatel etc.) are desirable
• At least 12 months of relevant experience in a telecom / technology environment is a plus
