Senior DevOps Engineer

WHAT WE DO

We are set up to provide our customers with end-to-end support in the process of developing software solutions:

• Business need analysis, design of functional and non-functional requirements, system analysis, support for business transformation and IT/business consultancy;
• User interface and experience design and development for mobile and desktop applications;
• Front and back-end development in a wide range of technologies: Java, .NET, Ruby, GoLang, Oracle, Python.
• Complete Data Warehouse solutions from architecture, design and implementation using mainly Vertica, Oracle and Microsoft platforms.
• Avalanche has been the central counterparty for multiple major banking projects in the Scandinavia and Baltics, in areas such as lending automation, regulatory reporting and calculations, integrations, governance, risk and compliance, Basel II/III, Stress Testing, AML/KYC.

DO YOU HAVE...

💫 DevOps Experience (5+ years)

• Particularly in cloud-native, high-availability environments

💫 Experience with Git/Jenkins

• Advanced Git features: rebasing, cherry-picking, hooks
• Jenkins: Mastery in Jenkinsfile and pipeline optimizations

💫 Deep Knowledge in CI/CD Practices

• Including Blue-Green and Canary deployments

💫 Expertise in IaC with Terraform

• Experience in managing Terraform state files and creating reusable modules

💫 Experience with Kubernetes and Helm Charts

• Kubernetes: Pod Lifecycle, ConfigMaps, Secrets
• Helm: Creating and customizing Helm charts for complex applications

💫 AWS Proficiency, with Deep Knowledge of EKS

• Experience in managing multi-cluster EKS environments and implementing auto-scaling

💫 Experience with JFrog and Xray for Security and Tracing

• Implementing secure DevOps pipelines using JFrog
• Experience with distributed tracing in a microservices architecture using Xray

ARE YOU WILLING TO...

🚀 Build New Non-Prod and Prod Environments

• Implementing containerized solutions and aligning with infrastructure as code practices

🚀 Establish New Delivery Pipelines with Security Scanning

• Integrate SAST/DAST scanning tools to pipelines, such as JFrog Xray

🚀 Fix Tools and Rebuild Environments

• Troubleshoot and recover failed builds or deployments

🚀 Participate in DevOps Stability Squad Activities

• Collaborate with Atlas for system stability and performance tuning

🚀 Create and Manage CI/CD Pipelines

• Pipeline versioning, disaster recovery, and rollback strategies

🚀 Secure CI/CD Pipelines

• Ensuring pipelines meet compliance and security standards, possibly OWASP top 10

🚀 Develop Security Requirements and Configure SonarQube Accordingly

• Including secure coding guidelines and metrics thresholds

🚀 Implement Infrastructure as Code for Automatic Deployments

• Utilizing Terraform for IaC and Helm for Kubernetes deployments

🚀 Manage Connections between Distributed Components

• Handling inter-service communication, API contracts, and cross-account AWS resource sharing

🚀 Support Development and Recommend Technological Improvements

• Proactive in identifying bottlenecks and proposing solutions

🚀 Ensure Logs and Metrics Are Centralized for Monitoring

• Utilizing monitoring solutions like Prometheus or Grafana for logs and metrics
