US Equities Build - C++ Engineer

Overview:

This deeply innovative prop trading firm is seeking engineers with experience working on a high/mid-frequency equities trading system to spearhead the greenfield build of their US equities trading desk. This will be a high-impact role, allowing for collaboration and exposure to all aspects of the business with scope for both ownership and leadership.

Main responsibilities:

• Design, develop and maintain high-performance trading systems using C++.
• Role to be crafted around the individual, based on which aspects of the trading system you have previously owned/are most interested in building.
• Primarily the focus will be on exchange connectivity, market access and ensuring full understanding of the US equities market.

The ideal candidate will have:

• BSc/MSc/PhD in Computer Science or other related STEM discipline.
• 3+ years of industry experience, building and optimizing trading systems for US equities.
• Expert coding skills, ideally low-level systems experience. Can be coding in C/C#/Java/Python but must be open to pivoting into a C++ focus.
• Strong problem-solving and teamwork skills.
