DevOps Engineer

Position: DevOps / Site Reliability Engineer (SRE)

Salary: Up to €110,000 per year

Duration: 18 months

Location: Berlin (90% remote work)

Language Requirement: German (C1 level)

Your Area of Responsibility:

• Design and Configuration: Develop, configure, and maintain robust logging and monitoring infrastructures.
• Service Level Objectives (SLOs): Define SLOs based on customer SLAs and calculate error budgets accordingly.
• Collaborative Development: Work closely with software and DevOps engineers to create modern web application architectures.
• Automation: Standardize and automate build, test, and deployment processes while ensuring quality and compliance with strict data protection requirements.
• Continuous Integration: Set up and maintain a continuous integration environment.
• Container Administration: Manage and synchronize container registries.
• Virtual Networking: Configure and operate virtual network infrastructures.
• SRE Practices: Introduce and develop effective SRE practices.
• Issue Resolution: Analyze and resolve system malfunctions through diligent research and documentation.

Your Profile:

• Educational Background: Degree in IT, natural sciences, mathematics, engineering, or equivalent qualifications.
• Cloud Expertise: Hands-on experience with cloud environments (e.g., AWS, Microsoft Azure) and distributed network infrastructures.
• Monitoring Tools: Proficient with monitoring, debugging, and performance measurement tools.
• Containerization: Experienced with containers and orchestration tools like Kubernetes and Docker.
• Scripting Skills: Strong proficiency with scripting and programming languages (e.g., Bash, Python, Ruby, Go) and regular expressions.
• Version Control: Familiarity with distributed versioning systems (e.g., Git, Mercurial).
• SRE Knowledge: In-depth understanding of SRE methods and culture.
