About Us:
RUN is a data-driven music investment company with offices in Stockholm and Los Angeles. We are on a mission to empower independent artists by providing upfront payments in exchange for licensing their music, through a transparent, algorithm-driven model. We value innovation, creativity, and collaboration and are committed to building a diverse, inclusive team that welcomes unique perspectives.
We are seeking a fourth member to our engineering team, at the core of RUN. This position will focus around building and maintaining robust data pipelines, backend systems, and integrations that power our platform. We’re looking for someone with a passion for working with data, but who also thrives in tackling broader engineering challenges. Whether you identify as a backend engineer, data engineer, or fullstack developer with a data tilt, we want to hear from you!
What You’ll Do:
- Be part of a diverse and highly competent team with deep expertise in data science, data engineering, machine learning, and backend development.
- Design, build, and maintain data pipelines and backend systems that bring together enormous data sets from sources such as Spotify, TikTok, Amazon and more
- Continuously refine our data infrastructure, focusing on reliability, transparency, and performance
- Take initiative in improving backend architecture, ensuring scalable and efficient solutions that support our growth
- Collaborate closely with our engineering, sales, and operations teams to ensure smooth data flows and easy access to insights.
What We’re Looking For:
We value attitude, curiosity, and a passion for tech above everything else. While we are looking for someone with a backend engineering mindset, we are open to candidates with fullstack experience who are eager to dive deep into data-related challenges.
Must-Have:
- 3+ years of experience in backend development.
- Proficiency in Python, SQL, and working with APIs.
- Familiarity with cloud platforms (e.g., Google Cloud, AWS, Azure) and data warehouse solutions (e.g., BigQuery, Snowflake, Redshift).
- Experience with data pipeline tools (e.g., dbt, Prefect, Airflow).
Bonus Points:
- Personal projects, open source contributions, or an active GitHub profile.
- Community involvement through meetups, talks, or hackathons.
- Passion for music and creative industries.
Why Join Us?
- Flexible Working: Work from our Stockholm office or remotely in a way that suits your lifestyle.
- A diverse team with long experience from the music and tech industries.
- Supportive Environment: Join a team that values empathy, respect, and collaboration.
- Competitive Compensation tailored to your experience and skills.
- Impactful Work in redefining the music investment landscape through data and innovation.
