Description of the Role

This large Dublin City Centre based organisation has a vibrant business and is running a significant digital transformation programme. Technology is of course a major part of these programmes and underpins much of which is delivered.

The Development Team who function within their Technology Solutions Group are responsible for ensuring that a wide range of software applications are delivered to meet business requirements. Our applications support a wide range of public facing business services including banking and financial services, payment services, mobile phone services and mails services. The teams output must be high quality as our applications process in excess of 130 million transactions annually.

Working alongside Project Manager and Tech Team Lead, the primary function of this role is the development of backend services and/or internal websites involving third party API integrations. The role is project focussed, with little involvement in business as usual activities.

The successful candidate will be allocated to a development pool from where they will be assigned to a variety of high priority projects.

Knowledge, Skills and Experience Required

The candidate will have a minimum of 4 years relevant IT experience. With strong interpersonal skills, and excellent verbal and written communication abilities, the candidate should be able to work both on their own initiative and within a dynamic team structure, and communicate effectively with team members, managers and business users alike.

Prerequisites for the role include the following:

• 4+ years of software development experience
• BS degree in Computer Science or Engineering
• Proficient in C#.Net Core and Microsoft technology stack
• Extensive involvement in building RESTful web services utilizing Web API
• Experienced with Azure platform – Web APIs, Function Apps, ARM, Terraform
• Knowledge of Azure DevOps/GitHub/Jira
• Familiarity with Relational Databases (SQL Server) and MS Entity Framework
• SAP CDC experience would be an advantage
• Proven experience with automated unit testing
• Understanding of automated CI/CD pipelines
• Strong in Object Oriented Programming, Design patterns and SOLID principles
• Ability to produce clear and concise documentation
• Participate as a team member in fully agile deliveries
