Junior C/C++ Software Engineer (Networking)

Our client is a US security and networking company that helps people connect securely with confidence on any device, to any application, anywhere, anytime. Together with the client, we aim to improve the current firewall system by making it more secure and less costly to maintain. The plan is to reduce the amount of resources the firewall uses, and make it cheaper, but still just as effective. This will require a lot of work from engineers, who will figure out what can be simplified or removed without compromising the firewall’s performance.

IF YOU ARE

• Having at least 1,5 years of hands-on experience in C and C++
• Confident with Linux/Unix systems programming, including file systems, processes, and signals
• Knowledgeable of cybersecurity technologies such as firewalls, VPNs, and IPS
• Familiar with networking topologies and common protocols, services, and concepts including TCP, UDP, DNS, HTTP, OSI Model, and routing/switching
• Knowledgeable in memory, CPU, and disk optimization techniques
• Strong in problem-solving and troubleshooting complex technical issues
• Capable of maintaining daily communication with English-speaking software engineers on the client side
• Practiced in other programming languages like Python or Golang (as a plus)
