Head of DevOps

Role Overview:

Our client is seeking a highly experienced and dynamic Head of DevSecOps to lead their security and DevOps initiatives, ensuring their global teams can deliver secure and scalable software solutions efficiently. This role demands a leader with deep technical expertise, proven leadership skills, and a passion for fostering security-first and operationally excellent cultures. Below are the key qualifications and attributes required for this position.

Required Skills and Experience

• 10+ years of experience in DevOps, Security, or related roles, including 4+ years in leadership positions.
• Demonstrated expertise in designing and implementing automated CI/CD pipelines for global teams, ensuring scalability, efficiency, and security.
• Hands-on experience with modern CI/CD tools and frameworks.
• Advanced knowledge of secure software development practices, cloud security, and DevOps principles.
• Proficiency in cloud platforms, particularly AWS and Azure, including:
• Expertise with Kubernetes technologies (e.g., EKS, Istio, Kong) and experience in performing EKS Cluster and Node upgrades.
• Practical experience with AWS Cloud components like EC2, CloudFormation, IAM, RDS, S3, and Lambdas.
• Strong understanding of compliance frameworks such as ISO 27001, SOC 2, and GDPR.
• Solid scripting and automation skills using tools such as PowerShell, Bash, and Terraform.

Preferred Skills and Experience

• Experience with frontend frameworks and object-oriented programming stacks, including C#, React, Vue.js, and SQL.
• Background in highly regulated industries.
• Industry certifications such as CISSP, CISM, or AWS Certified Security.
• Familiarity with application security tools and methodologies.
