Project Management Trainee

As a Project Management Trainee, you will gain hands-on experience in managing delivery projects, including engineering design, documentation, quality planning, manufacturing, installation, and commissioning. You will work closely with internal and external stakeholders, supporting Project Managers in ensuring projects meet technical requirements and contractual obligations. The role will support both Project Managers and Engineers and can be more focused on either project management or project engineering, depending on your personal background and competencies. This fixed-term summer trainee position is located in Espoo, Finland.

Responsibilities:

• Assist Project Managers in planning, scheduling, and executing project tasks.
• Coordinate and delegate tasks to engineering and documentation teams.
• Ensure project schedules are maintained and milestones are met.
• Respond to technical inquiries during project execution.
• Support site work and commissioning planning.
• Update and maintain engineering documentation in various Evac IT systems.
  
  

Required Competences:

• Capacity to learn technical solutions related to Evac products and technology.
• Basic understanding of delivery project business processes.
• Basic understanding of CAD software.
• Strong customer service attitude (for both internal and external customers).
• Proficiency in English; other language skills are a plus.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively in an international environment.
• Previous experience in ship design, process engineering, or waste systems is an advantage.
• B.Sc. or M.Sc. student (3rd year or higher) in Engineering (Shipbuilding, Mechanical Engineering, Process Engineering, or related fields).
