Senior Platform Test Engineer - C/C++ / Firmware / Hardware / Python

We're working with one of the leading names in this field who are looking for a Senior Platform Test Engineer to join their Core Platform Test team onsite in Cork, Ireland.

This team develops, automates, and commercialises test content for key software drivers that fulfill critical platform-level requirements across our industry-leading SoC-enabled products. As part of a multi-disciplinary team, you'll work on technologies like USB, PMIC, PCIe, Hypervisor, Boot, Clocks, and Storage. The role combines hands-on testing with building advanced automated test systems to support all stages of software delivery. Flexibility, project management skills, strong communication, and teamwork are essential.

Education Requirements:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
• 4+ years of test/automation development or relevant experience (preferred).

Key Skills:

• Proficiency in C/C++/Java/Python.
• Experience in system software and low-level firmware validation.
• Strong foundation in software quality, ARM architecture, Linux, and RTOS programming.
• Deep understanding of test methodologies and the software development lifecycle.
• Proven skills in test automation, source code management, continuous integration, and script programming.
• Experience with multi-process and multi-threaded application development.
• Exceptional problem-solving, time management, and communication skills.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop test strategies and gather requirements.

• Debug test failures, assist in issue isolation, and drive resolutions.
