Lead Engineer (Release & Delivery)

Description

You will be working in close collaboration with the domain architect and the teams in the Release and Deliver domain. You will be reporting directly to the domain owner and project leads. Your roles and responsibilities include:

Solve cross-team and cross- domain technical and architectural topics. Create and maintain domain-level architecture impacting multiple components in the teams. This includes leading requirements elicitation, creating trade-off tables, aligning solution direction with stakeholders, creating and visualizing designs, performing technical prototyping and consolidating results in technical documents and presentations; Supporting escalations/issues within the domain; Mentoring and coaching junior colleagues

Education:

Master's degree in Software Engineering

Knowledge & Experience

• 5+ years proven experience working as a software engineer working in a highly-complex technical and corporate environment;
• 3+ years proven experience working as a senior architect, creating and aligning requirements and designs for Software development environment ecosystems, with cross-team scope;
• Proven experience in writing technical documents and proven ability to communicate effectively with both technical and business stakeholders;
• Broad software development background with knowledge of backend SW engineering (Python, Ruby, Django), and front-end SW engineering (React, HTML5, JavaScript, and CSS3);
• Experience with DevOps tools, such as Git, GitHub, BitBucket, Jira, Jenkins;
• OS, Cloud, and infrastructure platform knowledge: Linux (RHEL) operating systems, GCP, GKE, Docker and Kubernetes. Puppet and VMWare, Splunk, and Ansible are a plus;
• Knowledge of Bazel and multi-repository version control systems.
• Software integration or software source code configuration management is a plus.
