Overview

  • Work alongside the Operations Team in order to produce an excellent final product.
  • Extract or export text for translations from DTP and artwork packages and import and tidy up/reformat translated text.
  • Manage, source and coordinate external desktop publishing specialists.
  • Plan schedule and monitor DTP projects.
  • Provide guidance and training to colleagues about DTP matters such as font substitution and suggested new applications.
  • Communicate effectively with clients and colleagues to ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Assist in design, checking or typesetting of Company marketing materials such as brochures, flyers, mailshots and web-based or multimedia content.
  • Quote timings and prices for projects.
  • Mentor and train new talent.

Responsibilities

  • Min. 5+ years experience as a DTP Designer or in a similar role, showcasing a portfolio of relevant design
  • Showcasing a portfolio of relevant design projects is nice to have.
  • Good knowledge Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign) and other design tools.
  • Strong understanding of typography, color theory, photo manipulation and composition principles.
  • Attention to detail and a keen eye for aesthetics.
  • Knowledge of print production processes and ability to set up files for print.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong communication skills to effectively convey design concepts and collaborate with team members and clients.
  • Time management skills to prioritize tasks and meet project deadlines.
  • Flexibility to adapt to changing project requirements and client feedback.
  • Very good command of English in speaking and writing.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office.
  • Nice to have - experience in leading team.

Qualifications

  • Good command of English in speaking and writing.
  • 3+ years experience as a DTP Designer or in a similar role.
  • Portfolio of relevant design projects is nice to have.
  • Good knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign) and other tools (e.g. Quark Xpress, Frame Maker, Media Encoder, CorelDraw and PowerPoint for Windows and Mac platforms).
  • Strong understanding of typography, color theory, photo manipulation and composition principles.
  • Attention to detail and a keen eye for aesthetics.
  • Knowledge of print production processes and ability to set up files for print.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong communication skills to effectively convey design concepts and collaborate with team members and clients.
  • Time management skills to prioritize tasks and meet project deadlines.
  • Flexibility to adapt to changing project requirements and client feedback.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office.
