Machine Learning Engineer

Vitus Commodities trades actively in electricity and natural gas contracts in Turkey and Europe. We are looking for candidates to fill the position of ML Engineer for our expanding team. Since this position requires a lot of correspondence with our international trading partners, English proficiency is a firm requirement.

Qualifications:

• 3+ years of professional experience with Python
• Experience with implementing end-to-end ML pipelines
• Experience with statistical and ML models, in particular tree-based models
• Experience with MLOps practices and tools
• Experience with feature engineering and model tuning
• Proficiency with Git and GitHub for version control
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines, GitHub Actions, code linters, and static type checkers
• Expertise in data analysis and manipulation using libraries such as NumPy, Pandas, and Dask
• Experience with Docker for containerization
• Knowledge of distributed computing systems
• Familiarity with AWS
• Experience in working with Linux-based systems
• Commitment to writing high-quality, maintainable code
• Exceptional attention to detail

Nice to Have:

• Understanding of financial markets and trading concepts
• Experience with implementing and maintaining feature stores

• Design, develop, and maintain machine learning models and pipelines
• Implement and optimize financial ML models
• Analyze large datasets to extract valuable insights and drive decision-making
• Collaborate with team members to build robust ML solutions
• Ensure the scalability and efficiency of ML models and pipelines
• Stay current with advancements in ML and integrate relevant technologies
• Participate in code reviews and promote best practices for ML engineering
• Document ML processes and maintain reproducibility and compliance with industry standards
