Game Economy Designer (f/m/d)

We are looking for a Game Economy Designer to work on our next potential big hit! You will be embedded within our “New Games” teams working on building the next generation of idle games. You will be entrusted with creating economic models for new features, devising challenges and promotional models based on user behavior and segmentation, and managing the economy including inflation, balances, and player progression. You will be working in an agile and fast-paced environment identifying future features for the game by developing a deep comprehension of our players’ needs and motivations using both data, information from the players, and your own F2P knowledge. Located in our Berlin office, you will work with a talented team, setting benchmarks for excellence in mobile gaming advertising.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement game features, monetization, and economies systems that are both fulfilling the player’s needs and are sustainable;
• Design and iterate on player progression and game balance to deliver an optimal player experience and to ensure economic health over time;
• Collaborate closely with game designers, artists, and developers to ensure balancing and economic considerations are integrated seamlessly into all aspects of game development;
• Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation and spreadsheets models to track and manage economic systems effectively;
• Develop systems to prevent exploits, inflation, or imbalances caused by unexpected player behavior;
• Leverage data (KPIs), player feedback, and segmentation to refine game balance and optimize features;
• Stay updated on modern mobile F2P market trends and incorporate relevant insights to improve the game
  
  
  

Required Skills

• Grasp of economy and balancing
• Advanced experience with Excel and Google Sheets
• Basic understanding of player psychology and gaming motivations
• Experience with working on mobile games
• Experience with data analysis
• Familiarity with Unity
• Good knowledge of the modern mobile F2P market
• Monetization knowledge
