Cloud Engineer

PE Global is recruiting for a Cloud Engineer on behalf of our global technology client in Dublin. This is an initial 6-month contract role.

Seeking an experienced Atlassian Tooling Administrator with a strong background in AWS Cloud and Kubernetes to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the migration of our Jira and Confluence cloud products to Jira data center products, as well as the migration of on-prem Jira and Confluence data center servers to AWS.

Duties of the role

1. Plan, execute, and manage the migration of Jira and Confluence cloud to Jira and confluence data center products.

2. Migrate on-prem Jira and Confluence servers to AWS.

3. Ensure data integrity, security, and availability during the migration process.

4. Troubleshoot any issues that arise during the migration process.

5. Provide post-migration support and maintenance.

6. Document all migration processes

Education & Experience

1. Proven experience as an Atlassian Tooling Administrator, specifically with Jira and Confluence.

2. Strong knowledge and experience with AWS Cloud.

3. Experience with data migration, particularly from cloud to data center and on-prem to AWS.

4. Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot technical issues.

5. Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain complex processes to non-technical team members.
