Leadership / Project Management​

• Lead the project team to deliver the agreed business requirements and boundary criteria, including but not limited to selecting the most appropriate contracting strategy and resourcing accordingly;​
• Coordinate project team resources in order to achieve agreed project plans;
• Understand and provide input into agreed baseline schedules;​
• Ensure all project disciplines and functional leads have input into their relevant schedule and estimate requirements and are held accountable to the agreed dates and costs;
• Review Project Histograms (home office and contractors) regularly and challenge where required;​
• Ensure all project data is correct and loaded into Global Capital Management System (GCMS);​
• Engage regularly with Asset owners / customers;
• Be open and transparent and declare bad news early;​
• Seek support or advice when required for relevant Subject Matter Experts or Global Capital team members;
• Review and maintain Project Risk Register Monthly with relevant disciplines;
• Control and report project status to business owners and major stakeholders;
• Prepare and present various project Powerpoint presentations;
• Manage and challenge changes and notify of change early;

Specific project description

Project scope statement

• The project scope of work is the replacement all Anode Baking Furnace 2 refractories and resizing to bake thicker and longer anodes;
• Project Total Installed Cost (TIC) is estimated at 62M USD.

Project Objective

• The project aims to secure plant production beyond 2027 by securing Anode Baking Furnace 2 anode baking process and anode supply to the potrooms. ABI0008 project also included an updated refractory design and updated pit dimension allowing baking larger anodes and future amperage increase;
