Site Reliability Engineer

Job Summary:

We're seeking an experienced Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) to join our team. As an SRE, you will play a critical role in ensuring the reliability, scalability, and security of our cloud-based microservices. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, implement, and operate our cloud infrastructure, and develop strategies to improve system reliability and efficiency.

Salary : Base 15K a month + Variable bonus 3-4 months a year

Key Responsibilities:

• Serve as a technical subject matter expert for microservices on Kubernetes cloud-based platforms
• Collaborate with Cloud Technical Development and DevOps teams to deploy services to the Multi-Cloud Platform
• Perform load tests, chaos tests, and other forms of testing to ensure scalability and reliability
• Design and implement observability for microservices and cloud platforms (AWS, OCI, Azure, GCP)
• Analyze and resolve production risks related to resource constraints
• Develop and execute disaster recovery plans
• Define and maintain KPIs (SLA/SLO/SLI) for cloud microservices
• Create and maintain technical documentation
• Ensure adherence to security and compliance standards (ISO27001, SOC2, GDPR)
• Lead incident response efforts and perform post-incident analysis
• Assist with product/technology selection and implementation
• Mentor and train junior team members
• Participate in on-call rotations during daytime hours

Job Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field
• 5+ years of experience as a Site Reliability Engineer
• Proficiency in programming languages (Java, Python, Bash, PowerShell)
• Hands-on experience with SRE, DevOps, cloud operations, and cloud security
• Strong knowledge of security technologies and compliance requirements
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills

Additional Skills (Preferred):

• Relevant cloud certifications (AWS Solutions Architect, Azure Solutions Architect Expert, GCP Professional Cloud Architect)
• Experience with container orchestration technologies (Kubernetes)
