Job Summary

We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced Python software engineer to join our team. This role involves modernizing existing codebases, developing robust applications using Python.The ideal candidate will have proven expertise in back-end development with a strong focus on delivering scalable, clean code for live systems and solid knowledge of AWS. Our client, a US-based growing startup, is building a tool to review medical records using AI for a web application that offers mortgage loans. This is a Part-Time (40-80 hours/month), Fully Remote position.

What you need

• Experience developing and deploying web applications on AWS
• Design and implement CI/CD pipelines that automate all aspects of building, testing, deploying, and monitoring applications in AWS
• Experience with container services (e.g., Docker and Kubernetes)
• Familiarity with version control tools (e.g., Git)
• Proficiency in Python for development
• Experience with REST and SOAP APIs
• Experience with NodeJs and ReactJs is nice to have
• Experience working with PostgreSQL and Weaviate for AI
• Great communication skills, comfortable explaining complex concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences

Qualifications

• At least 5 years of experience with Python
• Demonstrated ability to modernize and refactor existing codebases
