Job Summary

Our client is a US-based startup at the intersection of software engineering, computational linguistics, and intellectual property law. The company is building an AI-powered platform to help organizations find unique, defensible names for their products, services, or companies before legal or branding issues arise.

The platform leverages natural language processing and legal risk analysis to automate and enhance the naming process. By combining AI with domain-specific expertise helps businesses avoid costly trademark conflicts and branding missteps.

We are looking for a Python software engineer with strong programming fundamentals to join the team. You will contribute to building and scaling the back-end of the platform, primarily using Fast API. Experience or interest in the AI/NLP space is a strong plus, as the platform heavily relies on intelligent data processing and analysis.

What you need

• Proficient with programming languages such as Python
• Basic React and Typescript knowledge
• Elastic Search and/or Open Search, including designing, implementing, and optimizing search solutions
• Basic AWS, including some cloud compute resource planning 
• SQL and work with vector databases
• Extensive API interfacing
• Basic knowledge of different infra systems such as AWS, Azure
• Agile development using JIRA
• Automated test and deployment tools like GitHub actions
• You must have at least 4 hours of overlap with CET working hours

Nice to have skills

• Advanced AWS: able to optimize cloud compute for different use cases
• Setup and deploy CI/CD pipelines
• Experience with React and Tan stack libraries
• Experience with Fast API framework, Pytest
• Cloud compute resource planning
