Catalyx is seeking a Senior Distribution Specialist to join our team and work on our customer site in Dublin. As the Distribution Specialist, you will be responsible for all warehousing activities to cover goods receipt, sampling, materials handling, picking, shipping and inventory management activities at our customer’s distribution centre

Responsibilities:

  • Perform routine administrative and/or physical tasks involved in the shipping, receiving, storing, and distributing of our customer’s products/inventory using customer’s SAP system
  • Input information regarding the movement and handling of products in SAP and organise and maintain accurate records associated with Distribution activities.
  • Perform routine transactions associated with Distribution processes through internal and external electronic systems
  • Adhere consistently to SOPs and cGMPs
  • Escalate deviations in process or product to Distribution Manager, to ensure on-time delivery of material and return of rejected or unsuitable orders
  • Preparation and shipment of product from the customer’s distribution centre
  • Preparation and rejection of product at the customer’s warehouse
  • Notifies relevant departments as items are received, sampled, shipped or processed, as required
  • Physically examine incoming or outgoing shipments, products or samples to ensure they meet specifications and match paperwork and identify and record deviations, and escalate to the Distribution Manager
  • Perform\support the completion of investigations for quality & compliance management
  • Operate machinery to perform, routine physical handling of items, packing & labelling, shipping
  • Deliver on agreed KPIs and metrics
  • Other duties as requested


Requirements:

  • A relevant Level 6 qualification
  • A proven track record within the freight and warehousing distribution industry including an awareness of relevant legislation.
  • Proven track record and hands on experience with SAP S4 Hanna ERP, WMS / IM and TMS systems in general.
  • Proven track record with working within an AEO and Known consignor accredited facility.
  • Excellent knowledge of GMP/GDP QA and regulatory requirements within the pharmaceutical sector.
  • Previous experience or working knowledge of the Lean principles and methodologies would be a distinct advantage.
  • Strong project management, coordination, and time management skills
  • Strong influence with the ability to challenge and implement change.
  • Results-driven with a strong sense of urgency
  • Have a thorough understanding of all aspects of warehouse management
  • Exposure to and knowledge of Operational Excellence techniques
  • Exposure and experience working in a cold chain environment
  • Exposure and knowledge in logistics, supply chain and clinical.
  • Demonstrated IT skills i.e., QMS systems, ERP systems, Microsoft office applications
  • Minimum of three years relevant industrial experience in a cGMP related industry
  • Strong SAP knowledge
  • Demonstrates familiarity with written Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Master Batch Records while recognising deviations from accepted practice
  • Forklift licenses and used to operating heavy equipment is essential
  • Excellent written and spoken communication skills with established interpersonal skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
  • Demonstrates ability to follow direction and work with only moderate supervision
  • Proven attention to detail
  • A can-do attitude towards customer delivery and performance
  • Ability to handle heights
