Network Engineer - Dubai

The Network Engineer is responsible for designing, implementing, managing, and supporting an Access Technology networks / switches. This includes local area networks (LAN), wide area networks (WAN), and other network systems to ensure optimal performance and security. The role also involves troubleshooting network issues, upgrading hardware/software, and collaborating with IT teams to align network infrastructure with business objectives.

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Public Wi-Fi Service Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in designing, setting up, and managing public Wi-Fi services. You will work with principal vendors like Aruba, Antlabs, Aislelabs, Huawei, and Cisco Meraki, and possess technical certifications from these vendors.


Key Responsibilities

Design and Implementation

  • Plan, design, and deploy network infrastructure (LAN, WAN, WLAN, VPN, etc.).
  • Configure routers, switches, firewalls, and other network hardware.
  • Ensure network scalability to support future growth.
  • Design, implement, and manage public Wi-Fi services in various environments (urban, rural, enterprise, and commercial).
  • Conduct site surveys, network planning, and Wi-Fi network optimization.
  • Stay updated with the latest trends and technologies in public Wi-Fi services and implement best practices.
  • Develop and maintain network documentation, including design plans, configurations, and maintenance procedures.

Monitoring and Maintenance

  • Monitor network performance and troubleshoot connectivity issues.
  • Conduct routine maintenance to ensure network stability and efficiency.
  • Implement updates, patches, and upgrades for network hardware and software.
  • Perform network backups and disaster recovery planning.

Security Management

  • Implement and manage network security protocols, including firewalls, encryption, and intrusion detection/prevention systems.
  • Conduct regular security audits and risk assessments.
  • Collaborate with cybersecurity teams to address vulnerabilities and ensure compliance with security standards.

Support and Troubleshooting

  • Provide technical support to internal teams and end-users.
  • Diagnose and resolve network problems quickly to minimize downtime.
  • Document network configurations, changes, and processes for future reference.
  • Work with IT and development teams to support business applications.


Required Qualifications

Educational Background

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.

Technical Skills

  • In-depth knowledge of network protocols (e.g., TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, BGP, OSPF).
  • Hands-on experience with network hardware (Cisco, HPE, Huawei, etc.).
  • Proficiency in configuring firewalls, switches, and routers.
  • Familiarity with cloud networking (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).
  • Experience with network monitoring tools (e.g., SolarWinds, Nagios, Wireshark).
  • Experience working on public Wi-Fi deployment with vendors like Aruba, ANTlabs, Aislelabs, Cisco Meraki etc

Certifications (preferred but not mandatory)

  • Cisco, HPE, Huawei, etc.
  • Aruba Certified Switching Professional (ACSP)
  • Aruba Certified Mobility Professional (ACMP)
  • Huawei Certified Network Professional (HCNP)
  • Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP) Wireless
  • Certification or training on ANTlabs or Aislelabs

Soft Skills

  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously.
