Embedded Software Engineer (Wireless)

Your Tasks:

• Design and develop software components, platforms, services, and applications
• Develop embedded controller software for hearing devices
• Collect, review, and refine requirements for design and implementation
• Create and maintain software design documents, user guides, interface descriptions, presentations, and introduction documents
• Ensure architectural qualities and apply architecture according to the roadmap
• Continuously ensure code quality, develop new functionalities, maintain and bug fix the code base, and maintain adequate test coverage
• Integrate new software features across systems with other teams and involve verification teams in the development process
• Contribute to the overall software development environment and sustain application functions with proactive root cause analysis
• Support the hiring process, onboarding new hires, and act as the primary contact person for them
• Create intellectual property, support the IP process, co-design interfaces, collaborate with other brands, explore and prototype new wireless technologies, and coordinate controller software releases.Design and develop software components, platforms, services and applications

Your Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s, Master’s degree, or PhD in computer science, electrical engineering or related technical discipline
• Profound knowledge of wireless know-how (Bluetooth)
• Relevant, in-depth experience in software developer know-how, e.g. for design and development in C
• Relevant, in-depth experience in embedded development
• Self-motivated, pro-active, reliable, responsible, positive thinking, system thinking, creative, quality aware, open and transparent also about own work, able to structure and finish work, solution orientation, credible, team player, good communication skills
• Understanding of state-of-the-art software development processes
• Understanding of software design methodologies including OOA/OOD, UML
• Understanding of software design principles (SOLID, clean code, design patterns)
• Knowledge in C for tests and test environment (Python)
• Fluent in English, both verbal and written communication
