The HR Generalist role will support the Middle East HR team on the day-to-day local activities such as HR governance support, HR admin and operations, Nationalization monitoring and documentation. This role partners and build relationships with the Middle East HR team, Immigration and HR Services COE to enable a One approach on all HR matters


HR Governance:


  • Statuary requirements: Gains knowledge of laws across Middle East countries, regulations, standards, and emerging trends that may affect Human Resources policies (HR) and execution of these (e.g., legal signatories, court representation, health and safety, local documentation requirements). Assists with the translation of what requirements mean for the employer and offers correct solutions to adapt and localize policies. Collaborates with the team to follow compliance with applicable labour laws and regulatory environment.


  • Assist with policy updates when required.


  • Document Management: Manage employee records and document storage. Support in hard copies/wet signatures and stamps of official employment letters and contracts


  • Provide Arabic language support for legal documents, letters and reporting.


  • Act as the local point of contact for inquiries to government entities where applicable (such as Nafis, UAE Pension authorities, Bahrain SIC).


  • Maintain, track and ensure all national employees are registered on time in the UAE local pension fund. Collaborate with employees and HR services team to ensure all documentation is submitted and aligned with Pension requirements.


  • Oversees processes from onboarding to offboarding, ensuring smooth transitions and adherence to local regulations. (Pension registration)


  • Operational Compliance: Understands and applies Company values and HR policies regarding supported projects and programs; advises employees and managers on compliance to policies and procedures.



HR Field Operations

  • Handle ad-hoc HR administrative requests.
  • Improve, simplify, and align HR operations processes with local statutory requirements.
  • Support for Business Changes: Assist with the setup of new legal entities. And any support required to transfer employees within legal entities
  • Management of required by Employment / Unemployment authorities queries and required data/reporting, incl. support to all required forms fulfilment by employees / payroll, filing and formalizing and corresponding back to authorities.
  • Employee Lifecycle Expertise: Act as the SME on all employee lifecycle processes, partnering with COEs to implement changes and understand the lived experiences of employees.
  • Process Optimization: Understand existing processes, take employee feedback into account, and optimize, change, or create processes to enhance employee experiences.
  • Assists team to resolve HR issues involving legal and financial risk to the organization, in service to the companys brand, values, and image.


Process Management

  • Process Design/Adaptation - Takes ownership of and leads the implementation of a new process by implementing defined action plans; Conducts analysis and collects feedback for smaller or less complex processes/procedures; Responsible for design and implementation of new processes or procedures as requested by local legislation, business needs, and global & local programs.
  • Process Improvement - Leads the implementation of solutions and changes to improve a process based on an established strategy or action plan; in partnership with functional operations team, monitors key performance indicator (KPI) targets to identify opportunities for continuous process improvement and future investment to drive efficiency and improved employee experience.


Documentation

  • Employee Records - Contributes to the development and configuration of documentation and reporting of employee records; Conducts gap analysis on reporting and documentation of employee records for a supported service area.
  • Knowledge Management - Maintains up-to-date documentation of processes, desk-top procedures, and knowledge-based content; Ensures data entry is completed in a timely manner.


Supplier/Vendor Management

  • Own the Purchase Orders (POs) for all HR Middle East this includes initiating, submitting and managing the POs on time and withing budget with collaboration with finance and procurement team.
  • Supplier/Vendor Performance -Prepares analysis or reports (e.g., dashboard and scorecard) to measure supplier/vendor performance
  • HR Suppliers Compliance: Ensure compliance and management of HR suppliers (outside of benefits)


Human Resources Analytics Tools

  • The ability to use and understand business intelligence and data analysis software and programs, such as an HRIS system, for the purpose of evaluating, interpreting, and organizing data related to human resources.


HR Project and Programs

  • Handles day-to-day administration of cyclical Human Resources programs, processes, and tools by following standard procedures and guidance from the team lead or senior team members.
  • Provides technical support to HR partners on the use of relevant tools, and manages permissions to HR tools; may manage/coordinate the distribution of Human Resources reference materials as needed.
  • Administration - Contributes to the execution, implementation, and/or operation of scalable or repetitive Human Resources programs and processes (e.g., aligned with statutory or company requirements and initiatives) and ensure they align with business plans and legislative framework.
  • Communication - Leverages, aligns, and integrates communication strategies and messages from the Center of Excellence (COE) and customizes the messages (e.g., resource documents, training documents, presentations, web-based information) for a business, region, or geography.
