About the Role:

Job Title: Java Developer

Must haves:

• Develop, design, and maintain data processing systems using Spark and Python
• Implement and manage backend services using Java
• Utilize AWS technologies to deploy and manage data services
• Coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure timely shipping of deliverables
• Identify and resolve problems in data processing pipelines using effective problem-solving skills
• Backend Data/API work involving GraphQL to collect and consolidate data from various sources.
• Frontend development using React and Microfrontend (Lightframe).
• Take constructive feedback from team members to improve work output
• Provide feedback to team members on how to improve their work
• Collaborate with the team to identify future Java needs and plan accordingly
• Work on developing Pyspark and Java skills and apply them in data processing pipelines
• Manage and maintain data warehousing systems to ensure data consistency and accuracy
• Continuously run tests to ensure that the data is safe and secure
• Be proactive in identifying potential data-related issues
• Stay up-to-date with the latest industry trends and technologies
• Work with other team members to brainstorm new and potential data-driven ideas
• Use technology and data to create value for clients and to make better business decisions.

Location: Mclean, VA / Richmond, VA / Plano, TX / New York, NY

Salary Range: The salary for this position is between $135,000 – $140,000 annually. Factors which may affect pay within this range may include geography/market, skills, education, experience, and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
