Cyber Security Analyst

We are seeking a seasoned Cyber Security Analyst to join our cybersecurity team in Sydney. This role is crucial for maintaining the integrity of our information security systems.

The ideal candidate will bring a proven track record of working with Tenable and Qualys, as well as experience in vulnerability management and remediation processes through ServiceNow or similar platforms.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct comprehensive vulnerability assessments using Tenable and Qualys.
• Analyze security breaches to identify the root cause and collaborate with engineering teams to formulate secure solutions.
• Continuously improve and adapt security systems to prevent future threats.
• Integrate remediation processes into ServiceNow (SNOW) to streamline response and recovery activities.
• Communicate effectively with various stakeholders to provide updates, reports, and actionable insights.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of the security industry including awareness of new or revised security solutions, improved security processes, and the development of new attacks and threat vectors.

Requirements:

• Minimum 5 years of experience as a Cyber Analyst or in a similar role.
• Hands-on expertise with vulnerability assessment tools such as Tenable and Qualys.
• Experience in implementing remediation processes through platforms like ServiceNow.
• Strong understanding of cybersecurity principles, frameworks, and best practices.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a related field.
