Senior Quantitative Analyst – Alternative Investments

The Company

This entrepreneurial and fast growing systematic investment firm leverages big data and AI and applies it to risk management and alpha generation. With their commercialisation well advanced including the establishment of service providers and partners coupled with the launch of their first range of investment products, they are seeking to appoint an experienced Quant Analyst to join its investment, research and innovation team.

The Position

Working closely with the CIO, quants, data scientists, technologists and implementation managers, you will be responsible for the delivery of research and analysis, solutions development on active client engagements, technology projects to develop the firm’s global scalable asset allocation, portfolio construction and risk management platform.

The Person

• Demonstrated buy side quantitative experience
• Strong tertiary qualifications in a quantitative discipline
• Experience with liquid and/or multi asset strategies
• Experience with derivative pricing, modelling and construction of liquid alternative and overlay strategies through exchange traded and OTC derivatives
• Experience in developing trading strategies, portfolio construction, signal processing, risk factor modelling
• SAA, DAA/TAA or TPA exposure
• High proficiency in Python coding
• AI, machine learning and or neutral network techniques will be viewed favourably
• Exposure to MSCI Barra and MSCI Risk Factor Models highly desirable
• Self starter with the ability to work in a fast paced and fluid environment
• Strong commercial nous and pragmatic
• Highly developed interpersonal and communication skills
