Freelance IT System Engineer

We are seeking a System Engineer with expertise in Cisco networking, Office 365 administration, VMware virtualization, and network management to work on a number of Data Centre Migrations.

Key Responsibilities

• Configure, deploy, and troubleshoot Cisco routers, switches, and firewalls.
• Monitor and optimize network performance, ensuring minimal downtime.
• Implement network security protocols, including VPN, ACLs, and IDS/IPS.
• Manage and maintain Office 365 services, including Exchange Online, Teams, SharePoint, and OneDrive.
• Implement user account provisioning, group policies, and email security configurations.
• Perform regular updates, backups, and compliance checks for Office 365 tenants.
• Design, implement, and manage VMware-based virtual environments (vSphere, ESXi).
• Perform VM migrations, resource allocation, and cluster configurations.
• Maintain and monitor LAN/WAN infrastructure, including IP addressing, VLANs, and subnetting.
• Apply patches, updates, and configurations across servers and network devices.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement IT solutions that align with business goals.
• Provide Level 2/3 support for network and system issues.
