Role Description:

As a Web Development Intern with a focus on Shopify and leadership in the Web Development department, you will play a key role in maintaining and enhancing the e-commerce website for our VX brand. We are seeking someone with substantial Shopify Store Controller experience who can manage the day-to-day operations of the store, including product listings, inventory control, and implementing new features to drive growth. You will also have the opportunity to lead our Web Dev department, bringing your skills to guide ongoing improvements and support team collaboration.

This internship is ideal for students or recent graduates eager to gain hands-on experience in e-commerce, web development, and Shopify management, while also developing leadership skills in a fast-paced, remote environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead the development and maintenance of the VX brand’s e-commerce website, focusing on Shopify.

Utilize Shopify Store Controller tools to manage inventory, products, and categories, ensuring smooth daily operations.

Optimize the website for performance, speed, and SEO to enhance user experience and drive organic traffic.

Implement new features and functionalities to improve the e-commerce platform and increase sales.

Lead collaboration with the design and marketing teams to ensure the website aligns with branding goals and visual appeal.

Conduct website testing, debugging, and troubleshooting to maintain a seamless user experience.

Integrate third-party services and tools into the Shopify platform to enhance functionality.

Monitor and analyze store performance and user feedback, providing insights for continuous improvement.

Stay updated with the latest Shopify features, e-commerce trends, and web development practices.

Take initiative to lead the Web Development department and guide the team in achieving e-commerce goals.

Qualifications:

Proven experience in Shopify, with a strong focus on Shopify Store Controller tools for managing product listings, inventory, and categories.

Proficiency in web development languages like HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and PHP.

Familiarity with responsive web design and development best practices.

Understanding of SEO strategies and tools to improve website visibility and performance.

Strong problem-solving skills and an eye for detail, particularly in managing e-commerce workflows.

Leadership qualities and the ability to manage tasks, deadlines, and a small team in a remote setting.

Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Web Development, Computer Science, E-Commerce, or a related field.
