As a growing technology business they are looking for someone with a can do attitude and have real ownership of the product which comes with the ability to have huge impact. Someone who is happy to really get stuck in and wear multiple hats where needed.


Role Overview:

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Product Manager who will play a crucial part in developing and refining our marketplace product and customer experience, ensuring they meet the evolving needs of our clients and stand out in a competitive market.


You will be the bridge between customers and the product, going above and beyond to understand how customers interact with the product, including directly reaching out to users to understand pain points. Additionally you will understand the competitive landscape to put the product at the forefront of the market.


The business operates in a start up like fashion so the right person for this role will be someone who can wear multiple hats and work in an unstructured environment (This isn't a role where you'll be continuously working on a backlog, ensuring tickets are getting serviced, but instead one where you proactively drive the product).


Key Responsibilities:

  • Client Interaction: Engage with clients to gather insights, understand their needs, and translate them into actionable product requirements. Maintain strong relationships and provide exceptional support to enhance customer satisfaction.
  • Market Analysis: Conduct thorough market research and competitor analysis to identify trends, opportunities, and threats. Use this information to drive product strategy and ensure our offerings remain competitive and relevant.
  • Customer Research: Be the bridge between the customers/users and the product. Conducting interviews and interacting with the users to truly find out pain pains, likes, and how to ultimately make a superior product.
  • Product Development: Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineering, design, and marketing, to define product features, prioritise development tasks, and drive the product lifecycle from conception to launch.
  • Technical Understanding: Leverage your technical background to effectively communicate with development teams, troubleshoot issues, and ensure that technical solutions align with client needs and market demands.
  • Continuous Improvement: Monitor product performance and client feedback to identify areas for improvement. Implement changes and enhancements to ensure our solutions exceed expectations and deliver maximum value.


Qualifications:

  • Experience: Proven track record as a Product Manager, particularly with SaaS or technology solutions. Experience in a client-facing role is highly desirable.
  • Technical Skills: Strong technical understanding and ability to grasp complex concepts. Familiarity with software development processes and technologies (But of course you don’t need to be a coder!).
  • Market Insight: Ability to analyse market trends, conduct competitor analysis, and apply insights to product strategy. This can involve speaking directly with clients to really understands their feedback with the view to create improvements and make a superior product. Additionally, the ability to work with data to analyse customer trends.
  • Communication: Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to build strong relationships with clients and internal teams.
