About the Role

Job Title: Junior Server Engineer

Department: Technology

Reporting To: Server Manager

We are seeking enthusiastic and driven individuals to join our team. As a Junior Server Engineer, you’ll play a key role in managing and optimizing server infrastructure across a multi-site IT environment.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Support and enhance capabilities in cloud technologies, virtualization, server hardware and software, storage, and interoperability.
• Mentor junior team members to nurture their technical growth.
• Manage server infrastructure, virtualization platforms, and enterprise services.
• Oversee provisioning, maintenance, support, capacity planning, and optimization of critical systems.
• Handle SAN (Storage Area Network) provisioning, reporting, and capacity management.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless service delivery.

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills to articulate complex ideas.
• Strong collaboration skills to thrive in cross-functional teams.
• Attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
• Adaptability in dynamic environments with changing priorities.
• Familiarity with:
• Windows Server
• Microsoft Azure
• VMware (7.0+)
• SAN storage solutions
• Identity management (Active Directory, Azure AD, Okta)
• Backup solutions like Rubrik
• Monitoring platforms such as SolarWinds

Desirable Skills

While not required, the following will give you a competitive edge:

• ITIL Certification and experience with Microsoft Azure Cloud services.
• Familiarity with SolarWinds Hybrid Cloud Observability and Microsoft Exchange 2019.
• Knowledge of networking, Microsoft SQL server administration, and clustering.
• Experience with PowerShell scripting and data center operations.
