Network Engineer

For our client in the region of Brussels, we are looking for an all-round Network Engineer. Our client is specialized in the development, production and distribution of audiovisual and multimedia products and services (broadcasting industry).

The infrastructure team is responsible to manage and support all IT infrastructure layers such as data center, network, system, storage and security. As Network Engineer, you bring expertise and a hands-on approach for implementing and troubleshooting networks and security. You work as well on LAN networks and video-over IP distribution networks.

Responsibilities

• Accountable for system design and implementation following industry best practices
• Responsible for network and firewall security
• Track and analyse the operating environments and implement corrective actions when required
• Responsible for root cause analysis to get beyond symptoms of mission critical service interruptions
• Review network test plan for network throughput, latency and redundancy testing
• Accountable to deploy and manage high availability / mission critical solutions
• Provide support to restore infrastructure functionality
• Participate in on-call duty 1 week/month

What you bring to the team

• +4 years of experience on network engineering
• You are a Cisco Certified Network Professional - CCNP or higher
• You are a Checkpoint Certified Security Administrator (CCSA)
• You have knowledge of video-over-lp or multicast traffic
• High expertise and analytical skills for troubleshooting IT networks
• Good practice with incident and change management processes
• Experience in implementing Cisco and Arista switch and router
• Experience with large scale monitoring applications
• You are a highly motivated individual and passionate about IT
• You take initiative and have a hands-on mentality
• Fluent English in combination with fluent French or Dutch
• You willingly share your technical expertise
