DevOps Engineer

Job Title: Senior Frontend Engineer/DevOps Engineer

Location: Bern, Switzerland (onsite 1 day per week)

Workload: 80% (4 days per week)

Duration: Initial 12 month contract

Rate: CHF 120 - 135 per hour

Key Responsibilities:

• Take end-to-end responsibility for project deliverables as part of an agile team, ensuring continuous development and operation.
• Design and validate technical solutions to meet project requirements.
• Evaluate new technologies, build knowledge, and train other teams on best practices.
• Contribute to the further development and expansion of the development platform on Azure and GitLab.
• Support teams with technically challenging tasks and provide guidance when needed.
• Critically evaluate existing processes and propose alternative solutions to enhance efficiency.

What We’re Looking For:

• 8+ years' of experience in professional software engineering, with a strong focus on frontend development.
• Expertise in TypeScript and solid knowledge of at least one other programming language.
• In-depth experience in modern frontend frameworks such as Angular, React, or Vue.
• Familiarity with DevOps principles, CI/CD tooling, and Docker.
• Experience with cloud architectures and tooling, preferably with platforms like Azure, AWS, or GCP.

Fluency in German and English is essential
