Senior Project Manager

Position Summary: The Project Manager will be responsible for overseeing the overall project execution, ensuring completion within the specified budget and timeline as per the contract. This role involves managing resources, coordinating activities across departments, and ensuring effective implementation of safety and quality procedures to meet project goals.

Key Responsibilities and Authorities:

• Resource Management:
• Manage the workforce effectively at the site and coordinate activities across different departments to ensure smooth project execution.
• Supervision & Support:
• Provide direct supervision to the workforce, offering guidance and support when required to meet project targets and timelines.
• Work Progress Monitoring:
• Monitor and track the progress of work through both direct staff and subcontractors, ensuring alignment with the target budget and project deadlines. Report regularly to the Director.
• Team Structure & Task Assignment:
• Determine the structure of the project team and assign specific tasks to site staff for efficient project execution.
• Client & Consultant Interaction:
• Attend regular meetings with clients, consultants, and project teams to discuss project progress, resolve issues, and ensure alignment with expectations.
• HSSE & Quality Management:
• Ensure the effective implementation of Health, Safety, Security, and Environment (HSSE) and Quality Management System (QMS) procedures across all areas of the project.
• Technical Coordination:
• Work closely with the Technical Manager to address technical matters, handle subcontractor requirements, and resolve any technical issues that arise.
• Program Development & Management:
• Develop and maintain the Target Program, ensuring it is updated 45 days ahead of the baseline program.
• Planning Coordination:
• Coordinate with the Planning Department to ensure the timely issuance and updates of work programs for running projects. Ensure the programs are shared with all relevant parties.
• Contractual Issue Resolution:
• Coordinate with the Contracts & Claims Manager to resolve contractual issues in a timely manner.
• Procurement & Material Supply:
• Collaborate with the Procurement & Purchasing department to ensure the timely supply of materials for site works.
• Material Management & Waste Control:
• Manage materials on-site and work closely with the Cost Control Manager to reduce material wastage and optimize resource use.
• Final Settlement & Claims Review:
• Work with the Contracts & Claims Manager to review and finalize project settlements, variations, and claims for approval.
• Productivity Reporting:
• Submit a weekly productivity report to monitor project efficiency and progress.
• Authority Approvals Coordination:
• Ensure timely coordination with relevant authorities for required approvals, including obtaining Building Completion Certificates (BCC) and following up on the issuance of Taking Over Certificates (ToC) and Final Acceptance Certificates (FAC) with consultants and clients.

Qualifications & Skills:

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
• Proven experience in managing large-scale projects with strong knowledge of contract management and project execution.
• Strong leadership, coordination, and communication skills.
• Knowledge of HSSE, quality control, and project planning software.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
• Experience in dealing with clients, consultants, subcontractors, and suppliers.
• Proficiency in managing budgets and controlling project costs.
